A great village pub in an affluent village just off the main route. There is a small car park at the side, and a very pleasant sheltered garden at the back. The inside has been knocked into a single long bar, carpeted, with a huge chimney breast housing a woodburner. The staff were welcoming, the locals happy to chat to us, and the pub had a great local feel. The host backgammon nights, quiz nights, karaoke, live bands and theme evenings. Food is good, consisting of pub classics and fresh pizzas. The ale selection was unadventurous though, consisting of London Pride and GK IPA; these were in good condition. The keg choices were Pravha, Madri, and 2 keg ciders from Lilly’s. Worth a visit if passing, and it offers lots of potential for an enjoyable evening.
