My first visit here in about 10 years, I think, and I was not impressed. There are three hand pumps, selling Sharps Doom Bar, Greene King IPA and Abbeydale Moonshine, otherwise the pub is much as described below. The main difference was that the music at the time of my visit could not legitimately be described as "background". After ten minutes of shouted conversation with my drinking companion we left for a quieter drink elsewhere.

The Nursery Tavern is a proper looking pub that is situated at the city end of ecclesall road.
Once inside there is a single room, the main area is square shaped with the bar on the left side, there is a small area to the rear left which is up a few steps, there was a large screen and two smaller Tvs showing the start of the Fulham v Spurs game.
The seating was mainly normal tables and chairs of different styles, but there was an high backed bench seat to the right.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Abbeydale Moonshine which was a very nice drink, the other beer was bombardier.
There was some decent background music playing during my visit.
