Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Sun Inn
Much extended old inn, now a 'Pub and Brasserie', and certainly doing a good trade in food on a Sunday lunchtime. The bar and informal dining areas are in the more interesting part of the building that still retains some well-heeled character in several seating / dining areas despite the remodelling and refurbishment. I found three real ales on the various handpumps: Doom Bar, Landlord and a decent Windsor & Eton Mandarin (£4.10), with a reversed Sharp's Atlantic clip also noted.

Changed a bit since my earlier review, with the construction of a large brasserie area in former outbuildings which releases the former restaurant area back to drinking use. Still lots of wood and brickwork but I am afraid that the gastropub feel has now swept in, although the old bars round the side are still quite cosy. Small terrace area at rear. Beers unexcitingly were Doom Bar, Atlantic and Landlord; the latter was acceptable but could have been better.

As described below ,very much a traditional pub, four handpumps, the two regular beers are Courage Best and Directors with two guests, at the time of my visit these were Wells and Youngs Bombardier and Otter Bitter, a pretty underwhelming choice, however my pint of Otter was well kept, the usual Lagers were available on tap.A nice enough pub but with the ordinary choice of beer I wouldn't go out of my way to visit.

Still a traditional pub as described by Graham below. My visit a couple of weeks ago found four ales on offer - Courage Best and Directors, and Youngs Ordinary and London Gold, and my pint was in decent nick. Several people, all male and over 50, were having a leisurely Sunday afternoon pint. Bar snacks were available but there was no sign of hot food. A modern jukebox was on the wall and quiz night on Thursdays advertised. It seemed a decent enough place but felt somewhat in decline.

Traditional pub in centre of village with lots of beams and dark wood panelling, which has so far avoided becoming a trendy gastropub or worse. Main room to left, with area laid up for dining behind; cosy smaller bar to right and a slightly strange bay window area between. As an ex-Courage pub, still sells Best and Directors but also a couple of guest ales, which seemed in reasonable condition. Food not sampled. Friendly enough and ok for a pint or two, but room for improvement.
