Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The White Hart

Substantial old coaching inn (although the claimed 1309 date seems rather fanciful), partly opened out, slightly split level and substantially modernised, but still retaining some character in the various seating and dining areas. The WiFi reveals this to be an unbranded Marston's pub, and it has a surprisingly good selection from eight handpumps on the main (side) part of the L-shaped bar counter. No Pedigree, but Courage Best, Young's Original and Special, a pair from Tring, and the 'house' Godstone Green (£5.10) and Tongham TEA from Hogs Back.

In contrast to the earlier review, the building has now been very much refurbished, with slick decor now under the ancient beams. Very much geared to dining, although there is a reasonable area round the bar and a nice lounge to the rear. Seeing the Young's beers on, I thought it was one of their 'uplifts' which it felt much like - perhaps it was but it is now Marstons. Anyway the cask ales on were Young's Original and Special, Brains Rev. James and the local Godstone Pondtail. A bit upmarket but acceptable and the beer was ok.

Nice historic building although quite clearly neglected. Upstairs looks like a squat due to the blankets which act as curtains, also pigeons living in the loft Yeuch.
Food OK for what they charge however staff are not very friendly, Pub is nice but only outlet is in the shaded courtyard.
Huge Car Park saves trying to park on the street outside which would be nice if it never resembled a car park.
