Unexciting Beefeater with a dark wooden interior and the few staff not at all interested in the bar, which is probably why the sole Doom Bar ale offering was off. I suppose it was at least clean and warm, but not really worth the effort.

A busy Beefeater pub with a modern, low-budget Premier Inn attached, right by the main A30 through Bagshot. There is ample car parking but little by way of external charm. The original building (1930s?) is largely irrelevant now, any charm it once had obscured by corporate colours and concrete beams as directed by an unimaginative interior designer. Even so, the rooms are darker than they need to be, the single large bar made more dour by the worn, manky carpet. The food is mostly plastic and cardboard steeped in at, and the muzak more funerary than fun. On the plus side, there was Hobgoblin on draft, which was in good condition. The staff were cheery and helpful, and the clientele non-threatening. It's fine for a beerless breakfast, but I don't see it as a venue for a lengthy innings.
