Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Wernley
Substantial Sizzling roadhouse, built with dark brickwork but mostly now covered in a light render. Retains two bars, with the smaller public bar having 1/3rd-height wood panelling and busy pool table and dartboard, and a much larger 'L'-shaped lounge featuring a variety of seating / dining areas. Just Greene King IPA and Doom Bar (£2.65) from the three handpumps on each counter, but at least it does do real ale. M&B Mild and Banks's Bitter amongst the offerings on the keg taps.

Soup Dragon left this review about Wernley
A large detached 1930s looking Sizzling chain pub and eatery, with patio area. It is in mock Tudor winged-corridor style, with high chimney stacks. It is in a mix of white painted and undressed brick.
The interior has two rooms. I went into the small bar room first, accessed at the front of the place. It is in black, yellow, red and wood panel with a green ceiling and has a pool table, dart board and a TV, showing general programmes. A few 'cartoons' were on the walls. One guy sat here mumbling to the TV. The main dining area is an L-shaped room, curving around the bar. It is also in the mixed colour decor; painted wood panel, grey, purple, yellow, greeny/blue. There a re a few stranely shaped mirrors on the walls and a TV. The service was fine and a few people were eating. I didn't so can't comment on that.
Beer; tap stuff with a drinkable M&B MILD, with EPA on handpull.
A tidy enough dining area and a bar room facility with pub games is slightly negated by the fact that EPA is the only so-called real ale. I have been to worse Sizzlers.
