Quinno _ left this review about The Rolleston Arms

Large and basic locals outlet. Burgundy and green ceiling somewhat unusual. Carved wood feature fireplace seemingly unused. Loud chart music blaring out on a weekday afternoon. Accommodation, WiFi and live music. Gents unexpectedly good. Three pumps but just Doom Bar on and it was pretty pedestrian. Cloth-eared barman defaulted to pints. Utterly forgettable - I assume it has gone downhill in the intervening period since the last couple of reviews below.

This pub is on a busy junction and just off the middle of Swindon.
This pub was very busy mid Saturday afternoon and i had to prop the bar up,there were three real ales on here i had a drink of Ramseys bitter this was a decent drink but i dont know who brewed it the other beers were London Pride and Wadworth 6X.
The pub advertised live music and i was quite happy having a drink in here.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Rolleston Arms

Compact corner pub, specialising in live music which means it is all a bit of a squeeze when there is a band on the small stage. The area in front of the bar acts as the main audience standing area which means that getting served looks a bit daunting, but the youg bar staff all seemed very efficient. There is also a seating area up a couple of steps to one side of the 'L'-shaped room. Pride and 6X (£3.00, and on good form) available on handpump. I only popped in for a pint, but this coincided with the band - the Hendrix Alive Project, from Holland, stopping of in Swindon on their world tour! - coming on, and I ended up staying for the rest of what turned out to be an excellent evening.
