Small and chaotic modern-feeling Spoons over a couple of levels. Two guest ales as appears to be standard out in the Valleys with another surprisingly good quality serve in W&E Canberra, a solid NBSS 3. The Manic Street Preachers get a JDW local history board, even though they are worse than Hitler (look it up). Packed-out mid Saturday afternoon and does a good job as the local cheap hangout and alehouse.

The Sirhowy is named after the local valley and runs from Tredegar through here towards Newport. It's a shop conversio consisting of a rectangular room on three levels. There is a small seating area as you enter then steps lead down to the bar area which has just tall tables and chairs. Further steps lead down to an area with low tables and chairs and unhelpfully one of those TV projector screens. There is a patio behind this and the fixtures and fittings are all fairly typical.
Although there are ten hand pumps the beer choice wasn't that great with the JDW Trio Of Doom and Oakham JHB doubled up, Ringwood 49er and Brain's SA. I went for the JHB which was reasonably OK.
This isn't really one of the better Spoons but the breakfast was fine.
