As described below, a long narrow modern pub, which does not provide scope for much character, although there is a small back room and outdoor patio right at the back which were popular with the young. The only thing of much note is a bit of medieval cellar exposed at the front. The beer range looked ok, but the Exmoor Gold was well beyond it and had to be returned, while the replacement Broadside was not in the best of form either. Not one of the finest Spoons.

Long narrow Spoons with bar to the right side that contained the usual Spoons ales. But there was also Old Ale @ 5.9% ABV which was quite decent. When I returned, however, it had been replaced. Typical!

This is a Spoons dating from 2005 that looks like it may have been built from scratch rather than a conversion. It's a long narrow room as you enter with the bar on the right and some exposed brickwork on the left with some black leather seating and padding on the walls. On my early Saturday evening visit they were taking away high tables and chairs from in front of the bar so clearly it gets very busy late on a Saturday evening.
The bar has two sets of five hand pumps which on my visit had the two GK beers, Doom Bore, an old International beer Adnam's Black Knight, Springhead Bitter and five beers from the previous week's beer festival. I went for the Wychwood King Goblin (£2.25) which was in excellent condition.
I thought this was a good Spoons that is also GBG 2016 listed.

The Ivy wall is a very modern looking Wetherspoons with a large glass front.
Inside here is much the same has most Spoons with one long room and a good choice of real ales the half i had was a decent drink but i car'nt remember what it was.
