Visit November 2015
This is a typical shop conversion Spoons, long and narrow with a low ceiling. It has all the usual Spoons furnishings.
Although there are two sets of five hand pumps here the beer selection on my visit was pathetic. With a combination of "Available Soon", unclipped pumps and turned clips there was just Ruddles Best or three festival ales from a week ago.
I went for the Hook Norton brewed Fathead's beer (£2.35) that was in reasonably good nick.
I thought this was a poor Spoons.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Forum (JD Wetherspoon)
Plain-looking Wetherspoon shop conversion, although the large rectangular bar does benefit from light modern furniture and decor that helps to brighten the place. The choice of real ales from the two banks of five handpumps wasn't very extensive, but that might have been explained that it had been New Year's Eve the night before, so I opted for a quick Stone Amber Ale (£1.15, half).

This JDW is a lot busier than the Square Sail and on my visit I found it hot and stuffy. It's the first JDW where the service was actually fast, so well done there. Ten real ales on handpump.
