Old Boots left this review about The Maidenhead Inn (JD Wetherspoon)
Not bad as Spoons go, several distinct areas, family friendly and dining at the front, standup drinking in the long, thin, brighter bar area and more intimate and darker seating/eating areas at the back, both raised and subterranean, There is also a heated patio through the back doors. Decent and usually drinkable range, including one from York Brewery last time I was in, and two local brewers as well as the usual Greene King stuff. Interesting bottles, the Polish beers looked fairly popular. Staff are often, but not always, a cut above the usual standard too.
