Old Boots left this review about Half Moon Inn

One of two (remaining) pubs in the hilltop village, this one serves cask beer the other doesn’t so the choice was made easy. Traditional and rough cast coated exterior but a modernised interior, not too badly done; in other words only a little grey mostly on the counter. A U shaped interior with central square servery open on three sides, two former rooms have been opened out to one larger one. There is banquette seating as well as tables and chairs. Two pulls with local favourite Double Maxim (NBSS 2) and Abbeydale Moonshine with a glass on the handle rather than the more usual reversed clip. A couple of T-Bars have some of Molson Coors’ products plus Guinness, a couple of ciders and John Smiths smooth, apparently still popular in some places. Plain walls with a few sports shirts and drink related pictures as decor, it has four largish screens, one machine, a dart board and a pool table. Out back is a beer garden/yard. A reasonable village pub although the staff were a bit gormless but friendly.
