The Halfway House is a decent boozer a short walk from the local Premier Inn. A beer shelf with stools runs across the front right window and a U-shaped bar counter runs up the right-hand wall to a dartboard and then banquettes that sit under the rear windows. In the left hand side of the pub is a carpeted seating area with a fireplace that houses a burner. All the tables were reserved for later in the evening, I assume that there’s a Thursday night quiz. At the rear of this seating area a staircase rises up into the unknown and behind the staircase is another strip of seating. The television above the dartboard was off and there was no music.
Standard keg was available alongside Madri and the four hand pumps were drawing TT Landlord, Coach House Brewing’s Cheshire Gold, Weetwood’s Best and Nail Maker Brewing’s Auckland. The service was friendly, as were the handful of locals in during my late afternoon visit. A tidy pub that is well worth a look.

This is a nice old pub which is a bit of a walk from Little Sutton train station. Open plan inside with a few distinct areas to sit. Pleasant enough inside with the bar having 4 handpulls. All were on on my visit with beers from Peerless, Westwood, Spitting Feathers and Deva. The place doesn't open until late afternoon midweek.
