A comment rather than a review. This 60's styled pub replaced a pub on the same site during wholesale changes to the area in the 50/60s. It is now decked out in Villa colours. I have tried to visit this pub on a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday night, as well as Friday at 6pm - it has not been open. I was told in another Aston local that it seems to have closed, although I have been assured by a die-hard Villa fan that it was open last match day. I can only assume it is open for home games.
