Large foody pub. Very modern inside and very friendly service. Only London Pride on the ale front and it was pretty average at the strange price of £5.05 a pint! Plenty outside seating if the weather is kind. Not a bad pub.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Beech House
The former Lazy Cow has been renamed, and will shortly be closed temporarily for a major refurbishment, but with a renewed focus on real ales and craft beers apparently. Currently, it is a large roadhouse-style pub with various seating and dining areas, all with light semi-modern furniture and decor. Pedigree, Hobgoblin and Purity Pure Gold (£3.50) available from three of the four handpumps on this visit.

Now part of the Lazy Cow chain of upmarket bar/steakhouses, a large establishment with central bar and modern decor and furnishings. On my recent visit, the four handpulls were offering Hardy & Hansons Rockin’ Rudolph, or Castle Rock Snow White (a decent drop though at £3.50 rather dear for the area), with an Old Hooky clip reversed on the third, and the fourth vacant.

A large, detached, corner pub, in Jacobean style and in white render.
The interior is open plan, white, foody based and modern, to the point that i turned around and left. The beer i noticed was tap stuff, with Leffe and Bombardier on handpull. The clientele to be fair to the place, was mixed and it was busy.
Situated near the former workhouse, with my personal tastes, I would have rather gone the Workhouse, as, although the exterior has style, the interior is depressinglt modern and characterless. It just isn't my kind of place - it seemed popular enough though
