Sometimes the better of the two 'spoons in the city centre, service is usually a bit faster in here than the other place, it's smaller after all, but expect the usual JDW uncleared tables and not many beers actually on sale as opposed to on the clip. Beer quality is extremely variable but it can be good. Weird L shaped building with a bar and toilets upstairs.

It's a bit strange for a Wetherspoons is this one. It's long and thin and sort of L shaped. The decor and the tables/chairs etc aren't the usual fare for a Wetherspoons either. They also close very early. Thursday night 10:45, all the sparklers removed and being washed. We managed to get a drink, but they started to lower the shutters (also unusual) at dead on 11. We had to drink up fairly sharpish. Not very welcoming but at least they did have a guest beer on the bar. Given the early closing and that food service finishes 1 hour before, there were still lot's of tables with plates on. Not the greatest experience.
