Old Boots left this review about The Commercial Inn
Big corner pub with a large beer garden to the side, a basic modernised interior with little to recommend it. Strip wood in a lumpy version plays a large part of the decor, possibly 1960s in origin as indeed was much of the constant music. A vestigial room, “Fairburn’s Suite”, exists to the left housing a pool table and one of the many screens all showing a different sport. The counter is ahead when you enter with a couple of horseshoes plus a SanMig’ and Coors solo, Tetleys Smooth makes a rare appearance along with John Smiths Smooth among the low end standards, £5 minimum charge for card payment. Leatherette banquettes in the main with a couple of posing tables. Don’t worry there are a couple of machines. Outside gents in the garden/yard.

The Commercial Inn is just off the town centre and looked a fairly decent pub from the outside.
Once inside this pub it was very cold and could do with a spruce up and some decent heating being put on.
There were no real ales on here just John Smiths smooth crap so i had a drink of Guinness which was ok.
