Alan Winfield left this review about The Meadows
The Meadows is a fairly large modern pub that is on the eastern edge of Wombwell.
Once inside there was a large L shaped room, the bar was facing, the left side had signs saying wait here to be seated,so i presumed this was the dining area, this area was full of families with young kids,i went in the right side which extends to the rear of the pub, this area is divided into three areas, each one doubles in size with the front one the smallist and the rear the largest, these areas were carpeted and had comfy bench seating, leather settees and a few tall tables and chairs.
There was one pump on the bar which was hidden away in the dining part of the pub, this had Black Sheep bitter on which was decent enough.
The pub was very busy on my Saturday dinner visit.
This pub is geared up for family dining,if you want a quiet drink this is not the pub to have it in.
