There was a more diverse crowd in Via compared to Rem Bar next door so I settled in here a lot quicker. The split-level interior has high tables along the front windows and a U-shaped serving counter centrally placed on the rear wall with sunken seating either side. To the right is a large DJ booth and raised seating is found in the right rear. Premium and craft keg were available from the polite bar staff during a recent Thursday evening visit when it was comfortably busy with a friendly crowd. I don’t plan on visiting Canal Street again, but if I do find myself here again this would be my bar of choice.
