Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Queens Head
We had a long drive over through thunderstorms to our hotel in Durham. The Queens Head was a steep walk uphill from the hotel. But luckily the rain had stopped.
Sadly, they no longer have any real ale. The keg selection was John Smith's, Carling, Carling Dark Fruit, Coors Light, Stella Artois, Strongbow, Guinness & Birra Moretti.
Just a small number of locals were in. Not worth the walk up from the Travelodge.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Queens Head
Advertises itself as offer 'pub dining & rooms', so you probably know what to expect - an attractive refurbished hotel, with semi-modern furniture and decor in an upmarket lounge bar partly opened out for dining. Fortunately, however, there is also still a simpler traditional bar with a pool table and newspapers available to read. Two handpumps in each bar, offering Pedigree and Black Sheep (£3.00). Overall, quite a good mix of facilities.
