Deceptively spacious, single room pub on Whitehorse Lane. The room is very light thanks to the large windows along the front and side of the building and has an open feel by virtue of the way the seating has been arranged around the edges of the room. A split level raised area behind the bar creates a cosier space which has a dartboard in it. Games machines and TV screens are dotted around the pub as well with muted cricket showing on most of the screens. The walls were filled with various items of interest including a lot of classic Guinness memorabilia.
Only Courage Best available on one of the two hand pumps. My pint was fairly well kept at just £2.50 and was served by a friendly barmaid. Tuborg lager was on offer at £2.00 a pint.
Not really anything out of the ordinary, but not a disaster either. The place could realistically go either way in the future, but judging by the sad clientele, few would care.
