No cask. A four-beer keg offering of Punk IPA, Madri, Moretti and Inch’s cider provided the draught beer options.
Plush venue in the main part of town quite close to the ferry port. It is a long rectangular venue with the bar against the wall on the left-hand side mid venue. The bar itself is quite impressive with a very attractive metal surface with exaggerated curved edge and some patterned tin plate frontage. High ceiling with some optical glass pendant lighting. There is a mezzanine seating area on the right-hand side accessed via some steps in the back right-hand corner. The blue and white fabric banquette seating against the right-hand wall sits under the mezzanine level and there is a long line of dark wood tables with dark blue velvet chairs on the other side thereof. Some small, curved table surfaces are fitted into the pillars supporting the mezzanine level. Along the left-hand wall at the front of the venue is a long crushed dark blue velvet banquette with some tables and similarly upholstered chairs sitting in front thereof. The front is light from outside curtesy of the large paned windows allowing sight of the busy road and shopping area outside. The walls on the left-hand side in front of the bar are papered with a pleasant playing card themed wallpaper. A catchy sensible volume Latin soundtrack provided some ambiance in a quiet venue. First visit to this venue on my regular trips to the Isle of Man. Some of my younger work colleagues would probably appreciate the venue more than me but it was pleasant on my early evening visit.
