Dick Hudson’s is A classic Vintage Inns pub on the winding roads a ten minute drive out of Bingley in the countryside. Very much a foody pub that is almost exclusively filled with diners as there is not many houses within walking distance and no pavements on the surrounding roads. It sticks to the classic vintage inns layout with a lot of wood and hard floors. As you enter you are surrounded by dining areas with the bar in the centre of the pub. It is around here that there is a small quantity of no dining tables although you can still have food here but this must be ordered from the bar as it is not provided by waiter service. The decor is very nice like most vintage inns seem to be if not a little samey. there was a big roaring fire in the bar are and a very nice professional service from all the staff. There were five pulls on the bar but only three were in use as one was unclipped and the Golden best was sadly not ready yet. This left Doombar, Black sheep and Everards Sly Fox which was a nice drop but horrific at £3.80. All in all a pleasant time was had here but this is not the place to come if not dining as there are no other drinkers so you feel a bit out of place. I had an enjoyable time but this is a little too posh and polished for my liking, I like a pub that is a bit more down to earth. Good for a meal and a nice beer but expensive beer but nothing more than that.
