Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Greenwood
Plain estate pub, now run by Red Oak, but it was good to see it doing reasonable business (helped by the popular pool table) early on a Tuesday evening. Refurbished inside at some stage, but the basic garden furniture along the frontage looks a bit tired. No real ale unfortunately, so a quick John Smith's (£3.50) it had to be.

This pub lies on the edge of Chelmsley Wood, an improving area of west Birmingham but an estate that still has a reputation and its problems.
Possibly reflecting this, the pub is basic inside. The entrance carpet is worn to the floor and once inside the appearance does not improve. Basic worn seats/chairs, the middle of the room is occupied by a table football machine and 4 gamblers that seem to fill the space. Not at all friendly, its the sort of place you feel uncomfortable as the rest of the clientelle seem to know each other.
If you look to the side of the lager pumps, on the very end is a tap for keg Ansells mild. This is ok, but very cold.
There is a balti takeaway attached.
Not a pub I would personally recommend for a night out.
The lease is currently up for sale on this one
