Old Boots left this review about The Duke of York
Located between the Drum Winder and The Dubliner it’s another big square basic room with the servery on the left. Most of the seating is banquettes arranged in booths with a few tables and chairs near the front, the centre of the pub is a vertical drinking space. Plain walls liberally festooned with screens, obviously there are machines and some piped music. A DJ area lurks in the gloom at the rear right, the ceiling is supported on a number of cast iron columns. A range of very much the usual suspects are available on a platoon of trio keg taps. There is a £2.50 minimum for card payments and the place had a stench mostly of old vape. Hardly any other punters just a couple of old blokes and a middle aged woman who may have been on professional business.
