This part of town has clearly been demolished and rebuilt as a modern housing estate, leaving only the Star as a survivor from the old days. Clearly too it was a Tetleys house, and I'm pleased to report that the Tetleys was in very good condition when I was here, though that is long enough ago to be, probably, no longer relevant.

Whatever internal walls there might have been have long since gone, though the position of a fireplace to the left of the centrally placed bar gives a clue of sorts. Some stained glass panels have also remained, or been replaced with replicas perhaps. Nice pub. Worth seeking out.

A stone built survivor in the midst of modern estate type housing. Two bar interior, a lounge and public with a central servery, partially modernised with screens in both bars, the public retains an older character. Three pulls in the lounge and a further two in the public, well enough kept beer although not an exciting range with Pedigree, Tetleys cask and Wadworths 6X as a guest. The previous guest had been Jennings. Decor of old maps and old beer ads, the public has some Laurel & Hardy memorabilia.
