Large place with the bar in front as you enter. Six real ales on offer. Restaurant in room to the rear. Quite impressed by this one.

The Barge and Bottle is a large modern single story pub.
Once inside there was one very large room that had different drinking areas some of these were raised, the room was carpeted throughout and the seating was normal tables and chairs.
The pub was packed with familys and loads of kids having meals,it was that full i thought everbody in Sleaford was in this pub,i think they must be doing very cheap and decent meals to be this busy.
There were six real ales on the bar but none of these were very inspiring, i had a drink of Tetley MidSummer Madness and this was a decent drink but i hav'nt got the faintest idea who now brews this beer, the other beers were Black Sheep bitter, Hobgoblin, Old Speckled Hen and GK Abbot.
If you like drinking in a pub full of families with kids then this is the pub for you, it was'nt the pub for me.
