David Walton left this review about Barbarella

Visited 11/08/25. Visited previously as All Bar One but didn’t record date on here and too time consuming to find visit in iPhone notes!

No cask beer. Just a basic keg offering of the lager, pale ale and IPA from Pig & Porter plus an Italian bottled lager and Lucky Saint by the bottle.

This is a grand venue by appearance and decor. Essentially a restaurant with an island bar in the middle of the venue with a marble top and tall stool seating around the bar counter. There is an ostentatious light above the centre of the interior part of the bar counter. The rest of the floor space, best described as high-end crazy paving, is laid for diners and there is a lot of art deco touches to the space. Zero chance of a return for just a drink but added to the list of places to eat in CW.

Standard McBar full of braying idiots. A single large bar with no real ale, sitting in the centre of the Canary Wharf financial district. Fine views of concrete towers, it makes a good place to shelter from the rain, provided you don’t mind the inane conversation, and it provides a bolt hole for those who have more money than taste. There are much better bars a stone's throw away.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about All Bar One

Large, almost rectangular bar / restaurant, with modern furniture and decor and all the charm and character that you would expect from the chain... Loud music in the evening. Features a row of tabs out front and another alongside the former dockside. No longer does any real ale, so opted for Stiff Upper Lip from By the Horns (£2.60, half) which was the most interesting of the keg offerings.

Strongers . left this review about All Bar One

This All Bar One is located alongside the waterfront which is lined with seating where table service can be taken advantage of. It sounds like a good concept, but when busy the waitresses can become few and far between. The inside of the bar is long and thin with the usual ABO décor with premium and standard draught products being available from the bar area that runs along most of the back wall. Pride and Doom Bar were also available on hand pump and the Guinness was perfectly acceptable.

This is the only pub/bar that I have visited during this World Cup that hasn’t put a screen in to air the football. They obviously know there market as it was the busiest bar in Canary Wharf during my recent weekday afternoon visit, maybe nobody was really that interested in Greece v Nigeria!

Most bars, with a couple of exceptions, in this area could be mistaken for an All Bar One and I cannot see myself rushing back for another crawl.
