In spite the yoghurt knitter name this is an old fashioned locals pub, the outside carving says it was the Victoria Inn at one time and owned by the brewers of Gartsides Ales. Now in the tender care of Thwaites it has something of the multi room layout left with spaces off a central entrance corridor, the front two rooms just exist, to the right is a former snug with servery access and a couple of almost rooms are there on the left. You will find screens, machines and a dart board. Three T-bars spread on the faces of the L shaped counter with a couple of pulls on one side, the choice was Wainwright or Magic Sponge a pale beer that was very much heading for on the turn but not there yet so just acceptable. The close knit locals were on the keg so cask quality was only to be expected. Pool room at the back.

Nice clean pub it had just opened at 4 we were the first in no hand pull on the girl said they had run out at new year it was the 2nd of Jan so they might have. The young girl did not want to be there no conversation more bothered about her magazine and texting

The Corner Cupboard is situated on a busy road junction in the centre of Glossop.
Once inside the pub looked as though it had been opened out into one square room with the bar facing,this pub is a Thwaites tied house and there were two real ales on here i had a drink of Thwaites bitter and this was a very nice drink the other beer was Thwaites mild.
This pub was ok for a quick drink.
