It was utterly depressing in here when I visited as there were a couple of old boys sitting at the bar chatting to the barmaid in a silent pub. I would have turned on my heels, but I was greeted with a smile from the landlady and the old boys didn't stare at me for too long. There was only a very limited drinks selection, but my Guinness was well served and whilst supping I remembered that it was a Monday night and, although there are a couple of plasma screens in here, there was no worthwhile sport being played anywhere so why should this pub be busy.

Before I left a small group of Poles came in to play on the pool table in the small back room and I thought to myself that this pub isn't that bad and I would return and probably have a good night if out with some mates.
