Rob’s first sentence sums it up, he forgot to mention the unpleasant food smell, stale fish? A big squarish room with a slightly separated part at the far end. Big clear windows on the corner walls front and right the counter is down the left side with three horseshoes of national brands, a group of five tall founts with Brewdog and stuff, I hardly ought to mention the two unused handpumps. I doubt I’ll bother again.

A massive JDW alike without the beer or the class. Only 1 handpump on serving Tetley Cask. I had a half of Carling. Loads of fruit machines, crap all over the tables, very poor. I can't believe they've taken on a Goose and managed to make it worse!

Called in here early on a Friday evening and there were loads of people waiting to be served and only 1 person serving, so I left. I called back about 2 hours later and they seemed to have got the service problem sorted with 3 on behind the bar. It's a typical Goose barn type of place with no character whatsoever, but they did have 3 changing guests on the bar. The pint I had was in good nick as well. One of the better pubs in the centre of Halifax, which kind of sums Halifax up really.
