Strongers . left this review about Darlington Flyer
The Darlington Flyer is a large high street pub with raised snugs in the windows either side of the central entrance that faces an open plan carpeted central seating area. A curved serving counter runs up the left-hand wall where it faces high tables that sit under a large television that, along with smaller ones throughout, were airing muted sports while some background music played. There’s also some raised seating up the right-hand wall and a raised area in the right rear supports a pool table and dartboard. A standard and premium keg selection was available, and one of the three hand pumps was off leaving Landlord and Hobgoblin as the cask options. The service was polite enough, but I didn’t see anything to elevate this pub above any other high street chain pub found in towns up and down the land.

A former Yates and still has much of the feel of one. A large hall with skylights, sundry TV screens and a pool table at the back. To the rear is a patio area. Draught ales Black Sheep, Bombardier and Old Speckled Hen in fair condition.

Big Yates's with no real ale on. Also a noisy kid to contend with. Not the best.

Called in looking for real ale yesterday, There were two beers on with a celebration pumpclip for 130 years, but no idea who brewed the beer. Typical Yates bar.
