Stuck out in the middle of the Cheshire countryside down a dead end road , the pub is built from the local sandstone with half timbered uppers , to my untrained eye it looks like it was originally a Farmhouse belonging to a Lord of the Manor not one of the peasants , the inside has many rooms of varying sizes with lots of wood panels ,low beams and several fireplaces , its a bit like drinking in a National Trust theme park .
The food has a very good reputation and most rooms were set out for dining , the small bar area has four Handpulls with 3 from Weetwood and the pubs own branded Pheasant Gold(Cheshire Brew Bros), staff were pleasant if a little bit aloof .
This is an intresting pub to visit .

Cosy traditional Cheshire Inn located on the top of the hill in the Cheshire Village of Burwardsley. Log burning cast iron range, snugs and a traditional friendly relaxed atmosphere. Surrounded by fine green Cheshire countryside with Inn provides excellent food, drink and accommodation. Located within easy car driving distance of Chester, this Inn has its own ample private car park.
