Set back from the road, set in a former Baptist Chapel it's a single roomed pub which had quite a community feel to it. The four beers on weren't the most exciting but adequate enough I guess for the local crowd, Abbott, Dartmoor Jail Ale, Flowerpots Potts Bitter and Bowman Swift One, three Ciders were also on offer, Black Rat, Rosies Pig Rhubarb and Rosies Pig Raspberry And Cucumber.
The place has a good feel about it and worth a passing pint.

This is a fantastic place. Four real ales including Weltons Old Cocky, Flack's double drop, Hardys & Hanson Old Trip and Abbots. I had the Old Cocky (first on the left, how else do you choose?)which was really nice. They do home cooked grub at reasonable prices until 9pm. I had ham eggs and chips which is what it was. I went back next night (too late for food) and tried the double drop - quite a different taste, lots of flavours and a bit malty.
I have to thank Pubs Galore as otherwise I would never have stumbled on Ebenezers as it is tucked out of the way. Well worth finding.

A single room carpeted bar in what was once a church hall. It sounds like a sleazy nightclub, but it's actually an excellent beer house, an ale lover's destination of choice in Hythe. There are no frills, and there is a token bank of megakeg offerings on the bar to keep the teenagers happy. The grown-up drinks were Red Boggart's Dancing Cow, Flack's Double Drop, Abbot, Lighthouse and JJ West's Country Festival dry cider, all in first class condition. Home made soup is also available for the hungry. Simple furniture, cheap décor, gentle banter and friendly – if a little too patient – staff all make for a perfect use for this former ecclesiastical edifice. I'm sure I shall be back.

The only time I went there was a few years ago. They used to do karaoke on Thursday nights, not sure if they still do?
Anyway, it was a pleasant enough pub with a good friendly atmosphere. I hope that hasn't changed.
