Strongers . left this review about Railway Tavern
The L-shaped left-hand side of the Railway was empty, so I entered the wooden floored right where banquettes run across the front and an exposed brick fireplace on the right-hand wall houses a burner. The wood panelled counter mid-way up the left-hand wall supports standard and premium keg alongside two hand pumps that were both unused. At the rear is a pool table and on the rear wall is a jukebox that was off, no pay no play. I imagine it’s ok in here when it’s busier, but it was a bit depressing on a recent dreary midweek evening with just me and a single local who was stood on his own at the bar.

Still going strong even though a few pubs round about have closed down. Real Traditional pub with a wide range of beers, lagers, ciders and at least one real ale that changes regularly. Still no food but well behaved Kids are now welcome in the lounge and it is now dog friendly. Live bands are making a come back most weekends and it is FREE entry.

Friendly pub with a separate bar and lounge. Bodd's/Tetleys/3xLager usual stuff and a small selection of Quality Real ales.No food, No Kids, No dogs Just a warm welcome . Known for being a biker pub but gets a good mix of people in from all walks of life.
