Mainly a spirits outlet for the on-site distillery making Gin, Vodka and Rum. It also serves wines and a selection of national kegs as well as two cask beers, one was reversed the other a tolerable Landlord. We were intercepted as we entered and seen to a seat, other punters were allowed to go to the counter and check out the range, not sure what went on there. A split level layout with the longitudinal counter at the front right and chair and table seating to the left with some sofas and “find it, fix it, flog it” furniture. Up a few steps is another seating area of leather based seating with a view into the distillery, and also a big screen. Decor is a bit eclectic or maybe just weird, with oddments in various styles including steam punk, a Harley Davidson was displayed as a raffle price. Toilets are upstairs at one end labelled ‘Kings’ or ‘Queens’, the urinals are cut down kegs. There’s a mezzanine level at the front as well. Not one for everyone.

Truly terrible late night bar that doubles up with a dance floor and loud music attracting the lesser desirable clientele of York. A very tacky and dirty bar with sticky tables full of drunk revelers who cannot behave themselves. I am not completely sure if this place is open in the day for drinkers but would be very surprised if anyone would use this for a day time drink. An abysmal draught selection consisted of sommersby cider, carlsberg, strongbow dark fruits and Tetleys smooth flow from two downstairs bars. the tetleys bitter was ridiculously expensive at £3.50 and was served in a plastic glass, one of my all time pet hates. just to make things worse this the beer was in such a bad condition even for a keg beer, i doubt the pipes have ever been cleaned, it truly smelt like dirty dish water, i was not impressed. please dont ever allow the situation to arise were you find yourself being dragged here it truly is not worth it, avoid like the plague.

Lounge bar/club serving a standard draught selection. Just the ground floor was open during my early afternoon visit.
