A narrow two roomed pub, the front bar is in trendy grey with high soft upholstered stools and tables plus a nice Victorian fireplace. The big clear windows give a good view of Micklegate passing by. There are four pulls on the counter but unclipped, I was told "waiting a delivery" - on a Saturday afternoon? Yeah right. I was offered John Smiths Smooth which a fellow punter told me was really good, I opted for a Stella. There's a back bar and a "beer terrace", the back bar is more traditionally furnished with leather banquette seating.
