Over ten years on from Steves review , this is now a craft bar with no cask ale. Inside it still has the look and feel of a traditional Victorian pub but the product is obviously different. Ten or so different beers available as well as Ascension Cider, my choice was Deya Steady Rolling Man. I thought it ok in here.

This place is an easy one to miss as the only sign that it is a bar is a black dove painted on the wall. Well, that and the smokers on the path out the front. Inside there is a bar on the right hand wall by the entrance and some seating runs along the front windows to the left. This isn’t a big place so it was very busy with forty or so student types that were present on Tuesday evening. The bar supports five premium draught products and I forget what I had, but I do remember that it was a bit pricey.
I thought it a bit egotistical in here and will walk on by next time I’m in the area.
