The St Christopher’s Inn signage is still found on the exterior of this large sea front building, but the downstairs bar area is now a Belushi’s. Rooms are available under the name St Christopher’s Inns which is a company that runs youth hostels worldwide. I visited on Wednesday evening and after passing the bouncer on the door I found myself in a half full bar that felt more like a student union. Live music and discos are advertised for most evenings of the week in the upstairs club and either side of the bar there is table football. Plasma screens are located throughout and Sky Sports is shown. Reasonably priced food is served from noon until 21:00, but I didn’t spot anyone eating.

I’m now the wrong generation to settle into a Belushi’s and I think it’s best to leave them to the youth.
