Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Happenstance
Upmarket Drake & Morgan bar / restaurant in a modern block facing St Paul's Cathedral across Paternoster Square. It initially looks to have an arcaded frontage, but this part of the building is oddly set back a bit so there is an open patio (albeit mostly covered by awnings) along the main windows. Smartly decorated inside, with the tables mostly laid up for dining. With no real ale offered, I dodged the table service by ordering a Meantime London Pale Ale (£5.50, and the best of a fairly meagre bunch of keg beers) from the counter and retreated to the open air.
