Situated on a corner down Bow Lane and within spitting distance of the church housing Bow Bells,you won't find too many cockneys inside this upmarket wine bar.There are tables outside in the courtyard,the interior is small with to the left of the side door,a series of small dining type tables,while vertical drinking occurs to the right on either side of a long and narrow U shaped servery in rich wood.It's very old school City ( only open Monday to Friday from 11am),with wine prices to match although there are two keg lager/beer taps .Just drinking is fine on the ground floor,my glasses of wine were very decent quality and you can eat informally here although there is a seperate restaurant .I wasn't eating so cant comment on food quality.
Nothing for the real ale fan,a place to see city slickers at work.
