Previously I thought this place was undergoing a refurbishment but it has been closed for some time and looks like re-opening as a Boots store.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Pitcher & Piano

Doesn't look much from the street, and not much to see when you first enter. However, there are a few steps beyond this initial seating area and then a spacious bar. Further on there is a lot more seating plus a downstairs area of unknown size (closed off). Must get very busy after work on Fridays, but a lack of customers when I visited combined with the charmless modern decor and furniture made for a very arid atmosphere. Two real ales on - Pedigree and Hobgoblin (not tried as a I had voucher for a free pint of Estrella Damm...). Close to Liverpool Street station.

Steve C left this review about Pitcher & Piano

This place is much bigger inside than the frontage would suggest and the usual Pitcher and Piano décor is present, as is the range of premium lagers. The Guinness I had was passable and the young barman that served me was polite. There are some sofas and armchairs in the front section of the pub and then some stairs lead up to the bar area and a larger seating area full of standard tables and chairs. There is another bar area downstairs, but this was roped off during my visit so I do not know how big it is. Some low background music was playing from a wide range of genres and I didn’t see any Sky Sports signs, but there is a plasma screen.

Food is served all day and there is a DJ on Friday and Saturday nights when there is a late license.

I’ve been to worse Pitcher and Pianos, but I still wouldn’t plan to visit this one again.
