This pub appears to be in the arse end of town and on a busy road island.
However, it is very well presented inside, largish, nicely presented bar and comfortable seating.
Even more however, the beer here is absolutely spot on. Very rare occasion when I have had the perfect pint.
Well worth a visit if you're not posh enough to worry about the surroundungs outside.

A Nicholsons (M&B) owned pub, this place has a bit of historical provenance though the interior has been shorn of a great deal of the more obvious stuff – it’s horse shoe shaped, set over two levels with various drinking ‘areas’ with a lower bar area at the rear; you can tell where the old rooms used to be. The wood panelling and large old clock inside by the bar are nice throwback items though. Quite an array of ales to be had on my visit - the Coach House Gunpowder Mild was decent, with the Harviestoun Bitter and Twisted very drinkable indeed. There was also Old Rosie for the Zoider heads. Muted Sky Sports on the TV, piped music very MoR for my tastes. Food was available, with the Nicholsons sausage slant in evidence. It seemed a bit quieter in here than the other pubs I sampled that day.
A pleasant place to sit and watch the world go by. I’d say it’s worth seeking out if crawling Leeds, though it is a good few minutes walk out of the way of the immediate city centre.
