Will Larter left this review about 'Smiths' of Smithfield

I was "greeted" on entry by a young lass with lots of makeup who shouted "Are you all right" as I came through the door. I thought at first she was talking to someone else, as I was less than a metre from her and she was using a 10 metre voice. It happened again as I approached the bar, but when I said I wanted a beer, nothing happened for five minutes. Apparently greeters don't serve beer. I eventually got my half of Adnams Ghost Ship, which was £6.50/pint. It's one of those beers where the hops seem like they're trying to hide some off flavours, but it's probably only me; it looked fine and was almost certainly a pretty good beer, but I wouldn't want another. This massive cafe bar is also not my sort of thing, but I've done it now so no need to come back for more.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about 'Smiths' of Smithfield

Multi-storey venue, with the canteen-style main bar at ground-floor level, a (mostly bottled) 'craft beer bar' on floor 1, the dining room on floor 2 and a restaurant / terrace at the top. Fairly basic semi-modern furniture and industrial-look decor in the areas I explored. Trendy enough to be ridiculously pricey, though, with a Camden Hells from a dull keg-only selection coming in at £5.60...
