Tris C left this review about The Green
An odd pub history here as it closed as The Fox & French Horn in 1920 and didn't revert to being a pub until 2004 when it opened under its current name, a reference to its proximity to Clerkenwell Green (square would now be a more accurate description) a hundred yards up the road.
Probably unchanged since the last review, the pub features basic wood furniture and a muted 1980s' soundtrack. The pub was virtually empty on our early weed visit at around 9.00 pm. On the conveyor belt tonight: St. Austell's Tribute, Buttcombe Bitter and Adnam's Ghostship which was fine though I didn't notice the price.
This place is marginally better than The City Pride next door but it's rather a dull place here and as it's only a minute's walk to either the Crown Tavern or Three Kings, I can't see myself returning.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Green
Corner pub with a curved façade on Clerkenwell's non-existent green. The interior benefits from large windows which help offset the relatively dark decor. Semi-traditional furniture. Also has a few wood benches out front. Loud music in the early evening. Four of six handpumps in operation, with Doom Bar, River Cottage (Skinners) English Pale Ale (£3.95, rather cloudy but tasted OK) and two ciders.
