We went to Scarborough to see the one and only Danny Wild hes been in Scarborough for years we found out he was at Scalby Manor Never been in here befor its a crown carvery felt sorry for the people eating the pub was packed with people that had come to see Danny. Like all pub chains they try to do too much would not go there for a meal when entertainment is on.
Just retired as a pub Manager Know what its like to run a busy pub. First Saturday in August got Christmas menus out and a christmas tree on a table glad we are out of it now. If you look at 4 people could have sat at that table and spent money but the powers of B say you have got to have a christmas table to push christmas how much is that table costing to be there with a christmas tree on, Was told the pub is always very busy and at some times you have got to wait for a table. Like i have said been there and worn the t shirt glad we are out of it. But would call back next time in Scarborough

We went over to Scarborough today, to put our daughter on the train to Manchester, and on the way back to Whitby, we decided to have a look in here for lunch. They do an excellent, all you can eat Carvery for £3.50, per person. I had roast beef and turkey done to perfection with Yorkshire puddings and all the trimmings. The Black Sheep, I am assured, was perfect and I must admit my Pepsi and lashings of ice was almost better than OK by comparison. The pub is on two levels divided by a short flight of stairs and is a traditional environment with lots of wood every where. The staff bent over backwards to to be helpfull and pleasant and there is a nice outside area with swings and things for children. The nearby caravan site seems to ensure this place, on the outskirts of Scarborough, is always lively. Well worth a visit.
