Huge Irish themed bar close to China Town in Soho. You enter into a smallish bar room at street level which has an upstairs gantry area, but then a cavernous underground space awaits beyond down two semi-circular staircases which take you down to the leprechauns' brothel as it was poetically described by the first reviewer of this bar below.
It’s not that bad actually , a large floor footprint lots of separate seating areas radiating around the main downstairs bar serving area resplendent with its own tree. Those close to the bar are quite noisy and echoey but there’s enough spaces away from the bar to be able to sit and hear yourself think.
No ales obviously but the usual Irish options and a decent selection of the usual craft beers are available from the long keg dispensing unit on each bar. I went for a pint of Camden Pale Ale which was served virtually frozen but was pleasant enough after about 15 minutes when I could finally begin to taste it.
Also, this being central London, a stones throw from Soho, it wasn’t the cheapest pint of Camden Pale Ale I’ve ever had either.
Its all very plastic and a far cry from a proper Dublin or Cork bar, but the tourists seemed to like it.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Waxy O'Connors
A right curiosity, perhaps best known for the tree inside(!), with a total of four bars on various levels. A bit more authentic than many 'Irish' bars, often having live gaelic sports on the TVs. Otherwise; touristy, busy and very loud. Limited and badly overpriced beer selection (e.g. Franciscan Well Rebel Red at £5.40). NB - No mobile 'phone reception in the lower levels.

God I hate these places - nothing special to drink and it's like a cavern.

Went in there as in the area, still looks good with all the levels, but no customers. I ordered a pint of Guinness £5.40 for it. No wonder it is empty. Never going back again.

An atmospheric, labyrinthine novelty bar, almost an Irish bar but more thematic. There is a small upstairs bar through which the larger vault is entered, then a crypt-like basement area. Lots of polished wood and Irish signs makes it feel like a leprachauns' brothel. They advertise live music acts but there was none on when I visited. Sadly it suffers from being trendy at present, which, along with the dire piped in 'popular' (with whom? I wonder) music and absence of real ale, means I probably won't be rushing back. Unless, of course, I accompany a leprachaun who is looking for a good night out.
