Blue Scrumpy left this review about Plough Hotel
We'd passed the Plough on the way into Chorley from the M6 and had seen it was open. It is probably the closest real ale pub to the football ground, where we were heading to later in the day. But other than that, it has very little going for it.
There are 2 rooms. The one to the left contains the pool table, whilst the one to the right is the main room with access to the bar itself. It's difficult to say how many were in on our late weekday lunchtime visit, as everybody else was seated in an outdoor yard to the rear. The landlord/barman also appeared from outside to serve us. He was friendly enouugh.
Pedigree is the solitary real ale here. So, if its ales you're looking for, head much closer to the town centre.
