The Bulls Head is a large L-shaped Green King pub with a pool table and dartboard that are found to the right of the entrance. To the left is a large chimney breast with an empty double sided fireplace that was being used as a tunnel by a small energetic child. Seating runs up the long left hand wall either side of doors to a large patio garden to the left of the pub. The L-shaped wood paneled bar counter on the right-hand wall faces this seating to the left and also more seating across the rear. Standard and premium keg was available alongside Beavertown’s Neck Oil and one of the three hand pumps was in operation drawing TT Landlord. GK’s food menu is available, the burger being priced at an exact £12.29.
Televisions are found throughout for showing the advertised live football, but as no match was in progress there was some background music playing. The service from the barman was very friendly and this was one of the busier places I visited during a Tuesday evening crawl of the area, but it does feel like a ten-a-penny high street chain pub so I wouldn’t go out of my way to revisit.

This is a Flaming Grill pub, so you know pretty much what to expect, lots of family friendly areas and a kiddies grab machine. This one is a bit more pub like than many and there were no kids in at all during my Friday afternoon visit. 2 handpumps on the bar, but only Sharps Atlantic actually on, which was just about OK. There's a 10% CAMRA discount as well. I went to play on the quiz machine and won £4, but it didn't pay out. I told the manager about it and he said "Sorry mate, it's not my machine, I can't do anything about it". Total crap legally and I told him so. He still refused to give me the money though, so I'll retaliate on here. I would have scored this pub a little higher if it wasn't for the management bullocks. It's too much to hope for that his name was Smith I suppose. :-))

Great local pub located right on the A6 in Hazel grove. The best outdoor seating area, cool beers and great value food.
Plenty of car parking
