Strongers . left this review about The Wheatsheaf

The Wheatsheaf is quite a thin pub with a central U-shaped bar counter that is bookended by a games room with a dartboard and pool table to the right and a seating area with live music equipment to the left. There’s a lot more standing room that seating so I guess that live music plays a central role in here, although I didn’t see any upcoming events advertised. Televisions are located throughout, Euro2024 football build up was playing via BBC. Standard and premium keg were available alongside Beavertown’s Neck Oil, but the polite barman informed me that the two hand pumps badged with Wainwright and GK False Nine were ‘not on yet”. This is an OK pub that I’d pop back into if passing.

Lets make this pub great again. We need all you lovely people of stockport to help do that. Will and Greg the new landlords would love to get to know you all. They now offer a fantastic good quality breakfast using only the best quality award winning local butchers/farmers meat. as well as good quality real ales and live music. like the facebook page to stay upto date with all the upcoming events https://www.facebook.com/TheWheatsheafHillgate?ref=aymt_homepage_panel

Supposed to be open from 12 yesterday, but was closed at 4:30. Looks intact inside though. For Let sign on the outside.
